Paul Stapleton is co-head of Media Venture Partners’ data centers and hosting services practice. Throughout his career, he has led more than 100 M&A transactions and provided private equity advisory services for market-leading providers of data center services, enterprise hosting, SaaS, mass-market hosting and online media.

Before joining Media Venture Partners in 2010, Mr. Stapleton served for four years as Managing Director at DH Capital. Before that, he built deep, far-reaching knowledge of the data center industry as a consultant and owner of Niwot Capital, where he worked with Landmark Media Enterprises and its data center subsidiary, Continental Broadband, as it expanded into new markets by acquisition.

His expertise additionally includes more than six years as a Partner at Rampart Associates, where he provided investment banking services primarily to internet service providers. While at Rampart, he authored "The I$P Report, The Financial Newsletter For Internet Service Providers" and became well-known as an industry expert and thought leader in the sector. Mr. Stapleton earned his B.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University; an I.B.D. in International Economics from Nijenrode, Netherlands School of Business; and his M.B.A. from Columbia University, where he served as editor-in-chief of the business school weekly newspaper The Bottom Line.
