Renee Shaening joined Media Venture Partners in 2010. She previously served as an Associate at Venturi & Co. LLC, a middle-market investment banking firm providing advisory services for M&A, divestitures, financial restructurings, private placements, strategic alliances and other transactions.

In addition to serving as a strategic consultant in the environmental liability space, Ms. Shaening previously worked as a Financial Analyst at Kagan Research (now SNL Kagan), a research and consulting group focused on the media and communications sectors. There she provided market analysis and trend forecasting, fair market valuations, and specialized consulting.

Ms. Shaening earned her B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering from Michigan State University and her M.B.A. with a finance emphasis from the Monterey Institute of International Studies.
